Becoming A Fashion Illustrator

Developing your skills


Fashion illustrators compulsion To possess well-developed artistic skills. Grow these early, so receive as many Craft classes as you can in eminent institute. Catch a party on figure sketch. One of the best places to apply is the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. They have over 40 different majors relating to fashion. At this and other schools, you will have the opportunity to receive either an associate degree, a Bachelor's of fine arts or even a Master's degree.


After graduation


At a minimum, finish your associate degree. Otherwise, excite as even training as you can by represantation figures and manufacture sketches of any fashions that capture your eye. Add your own flourishes to these designs, because you will need to be able to do more than copy other people's images.

College

Apply to a college that has a program ongoing design. This will give you valuable experience and will also improve your resume. Don't turn down opportunities. Even working at a discount retailer will give you a chance to practice and develop your skills.
