A manga-ka is a writer and artist of Japanese comics recognized as manga. These graphic stories, which transcend the "comedian manual" genus, annex a style all their own that has influenced pop culture enclosing the globe.

7. Write a graphic novel, or tankoubon. This is a separate volume of around 200 pages. This is an important part of your career. If your tankoubon sells well, your manga-ka career is on its way.
