Class clowns tend
to be either universal or social loners.
Characteristics of a class clown count disruptive behavior; a desire for attention; above-average or, conversely, poor learning skills; emotional insecurity; immaturity and hyperactivity. Although class clowns can be funny and entertaining, their survival in school hinges on social acceptance in the face of a teacher's authority. In other words, if a class clown wants to survive in school, while dealing with the roller coaster of reprimands, dismissals and detentions for disruptive behavior, he better have some good friends.
Instructions
1. Do your homework and other assignments thoroughly and on time. If you are going to take on the role of the class clown, understand that class disruptions will knock points off your participation grade. Compensate by doing great academic work.
2. Tell good jokes and be hilarious. If you are going to survive as the class clown, you have to at least be funny. Maybe your jokes will actually make your teacher laugh and she will go easier on you for disrupting class.
Find a core group of close friends who understand you. Class clowns tend to be popular, or they are loners -- make sure you are the popular kind. Having a support system of close friends will help when you are in trouble at home and in school for disrupting class.3.
4. Stay positive in times of reprimand. A good class clown should take criticisms and punishments well as he or she will incur them regularly for his or her disruptive behavior.
