Get A Dj Name

One of the most critical matters for any artist, including a DJ, is having a melodious, only handle that is facile to brood over, and besides fits your personality and heavy metal.


3. After you come up with a creative and fun name that fits your personality as well as your music, tell your friends your new DJ name. See if the name catches on. At your performances, see how well your name goes over. See how your name looks on posters advertising your performances. If you are happy with your name, and you feel it suits you and your music, then you have successfully given yourself a DJ name!



Add "DJ" in front of your name. Do you like it enough to make it your official DJ name? Some DJs, such as world-renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold, use their real names. However, many other DJs such as Kaskade and Fatboy Slim use made-up stage names or nicknames.


2. If you decide against using your real name, think about nicknames you might have or might have had during your lifetime. Think about abbreviations of your name. What sounds catchy to you? Be creative. Think about your initials, physical and personality characteristics. Think about the kind of music you spin. What kind of name could you make? DJ names are usually short and catchy. For example, if your name is George Xavier, you might consider being DJ GX. If your name is Theodore, you might want to consider being DJ Theo.
