Remove Street View Photos From Google

There are many reasons why you would like to remove a photo from Google's Street View.

Instructions

1. Go to Google and click on "Maps" on the top right hand corner of the page.2.

A picture might be a threat to security, it might show a close-up of your house, your face might not be blurred out, or you might come across an offensive photo. Whatever the case, Google has been pretty good at removing images at individual's requests. They have come under heavy scrutiny after a number of people complained about invasion of privacy. If you find a photo that you think is completely inappropriate for Google's Street View, don't hesitate to report it.

Navigate the map to the location of the photo in question.

3. Click on the yellow man located on the right side of the map, and drag it to the location in question. This will activate Street View.

4. Click on "Report a problem" on the bottom left corner of the map. You will be brought to another page where you can submit your removal request.

5. Click on "Privacy Concerns," "Inappropriate Content" or "Other." You will then be able to choose if the image is offensive, inaccurate, bad quality, or a threat to security. If you choose "Privacy Concerns," you can choose whether the image is a picture of your face, house or car. After you choose face, house or car, you will have more things to specify. If you choose "face," you will have the option to report an image of a face that has not been blurred, or a picture of your face (or your child's) that you would like removed. If you choose "house," you can request to remove a picture of your house. And if you choose "car/license plate," you can report a legible license plate that has not been blurred, or a picture of your car that you would like removed.

6. Provide a specific description of the problem in the "Problem" box.

7. Enter your email address into the email field.

8. Adjust the view of the image so it is focused on the part of the picture with which you have a problem.

9. Complete the word verification and click "Submit." If Google needs more information, they will shortly contact you via email. If they don't need any more information, they will shortly remove the photo that you requested.
