Halfway is approximately 1,200 miles northwest of Waikiki.

Instructions
1. Contact either the Oceanic Society in San Francisco or the Michigan based tour company Wildlife and Nature Travel about booking an available opening in a tour to Midway Atoll. Pay a fee of between $7,000 and $7,700.
2. Obtain from the tour operator and complete all necessary forms to apply for entry into the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument. Separate forms must be completed for recreational and educational activities while in the Monument.
3. Arrive in Honolulu at least one day before your chartered flight to Midway. Arrive at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart for Midway.
Halfway is one of the oldest islands in the Hawaiian Islands chain. Twenty-six million caducity ago it was approximately where the Enormous Island of Hawaii sits nowadays. Continental drift has pushed Halfway to a spot in the Peacemaking 1,200 miles northwest of Honolulu.
5. Enjoy the tour. Accommodations are in the old Navy barracks on the island. The return flight usually leaves at night on the eighth day.
