Test the E-mail Address

2. Sit down at your computer and compose an email. Enter the person's e-mail address in the "Send to" box.
3. Click "Sent" on the email. You should know quickly whether or not the address is valid. Double-check the address you typed in to make sure it matches the address you wrote down if the email comes back as invalid. If you typed everything in perfectly, try to find her on Facebook, where sometimes people allow their e-mail address to be public.
If it is not valid, you will receive an email within a few minutes saying that your message has bounced back because the e-mail address you used was invalid. You may also get an e-mail saying the recipient's email inbox was full, so the message couldn't be delivered. If the inbox is full, the address is valid, but until he or she deletes some emails, no mail will get through to them.4.
