Rubin Museum of Art Teens Program
The Rubin Museum of Art offers a free after-school program for teens who are interested in learning about Himalayan art and culture. Students are given the opportunity to explore the art of Tibet, Nepal, India and China and create their own art using Himalayan art techniques. Students who participate in the teen art programs for one year are also eligible to become teen docents at the museum. The program also provides career guidance and advice to young artists and the opportunity To stay with other museums in New York City.

School of Visual Arts Pre-college Art Programs
The School of Visual Arts offers fall, spring, and summer art programs for high school students who plan to pursue an art degree. The 10-week fall and spring courses are held on Saturdays and include courses in digital art, illustration, photography and drawing. Tuition for these courses is $500, with the cost of supplies ranging from $30 to $275. The summer program is an intensive three-week program and includes courses in fine arts, digital art, photography and graphic design. Tuition for the summer program is $1,900 and residency and meal plans are optional. Supplies range from $75 to $300 and certain courses also require an additional studio lab fee.
