Instructions
1. Travel to Westwood, California. Zappa is buried in the Pierce Bros Westwood Village Memorial Park, which is a small cemetery that can be difficult to find. Go up the small driveway next to the pink marble skyscraper on the southeast corner of Glendon and Whilshire Avenues. From the driveway, turn right into the gates of the cemetery.
2. The plot number is 100. The GPS latitude and longitude of the grave are 34.05823, -118.4416.
It's closest to the west side of the drive between the offices and the entrance.
4. Look for a large tree along the west end of the center section. Zappa's grave is near this large tree. Singer Roy Orbison's grave is about 8 yards west of Zappa's grave.
5. Find the grave of Lew Ayres. Frank Zappa is buried directly right of Ayres in an unmarked grave. Visit the cemetery offices located in the southwest corner of the park if you have any questions.3. Continue south on the circular drive (or back to the north if you visited the offices). A grassy area is located in the center of the circular drive and Zappa's grave is in this section.
