Massachusetts Arts Grants
The Massachusetts Cultural Council offers Artist Fellowships at a time when many sources of funding for individual artists are reduced or discontinued. These competitive grants recognize exceptional work by Massachusetts artists with the intention of fostering the continued artistic development and careers of the recipients. The Artist Fellowship program gives $7,500 grants, with finalist awards of $500 recognizing exceptional work. The MCC sponsors grant programs for organizations as well.
IBM Arts Grants
IBM is an example of a corporation that keeps a focus on corporate citizenship by making grants in a range of disciplines, including arts and culture. One example is the National Museum of African American History and Culture, a virtual museum created by the Smithsonian with the help of IBM.
