Diy Silk Screen Exposure Unit

Silk Shade, or Shade printing, exposure is a Dainty manner involving many variables. Setting up a proper exposure unit decreases these variables and ensures proper exposure rates. Sunlight can creator poser in adjusting exposure period and light heighth, so establish up the exposure unit in a clouded extension or expose images at black.


Instructions


1. Place black construction paper on the exposure surface, directly under the light bulb.


Squeeze and bend the pie tin around the bulb, leaving 2 inches of space in between. The pie tin will serve as a light reflector for a more directed and precise exposure.


3. Locate the best position for the exposure unit. Location should be dark and on a countertop or table. Screw the round hook screw into the ceiling just above exposure location.


4. Hang the lamp cord onto the hook, adjusting the bulb height according to the photo emulsion manufacturer's directions. Clamp both ends of the lamp cord together to preserve bulb height.


5. Drill a gap in the centre of the pie Tinplate. Use scissors to chop and widen the hole just large enough to fit over the bulb-holder end of the lamp cord.2. Screw the bulb into the lamp-cord bulb holder.
