A high school transcript is not a requirement if the student has earned a minimum of 24 or more semester hours credit at an accredited college or university. An art portfolio is also required for all majors except business of art and design.
International Students
For admission consideration at Ringling College, all students must be proficient in English. The college does not offer English courses for speakers of other languages.Students that were home-schooled must have received standard diplomas recognized by their local school districts, or equivalent GEDs. Home-schooled students must have kept a 2.0 grade point average and must submit the completed home-school supplement to the Common Application, along with their art portfolios.
If the prospective student does not speak proficient English, he must submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum score of 61 on the Internet version, 500 on the paper version of the TOEFL, or a 6.0 on the IELTS is an admission requirement for international students. These students must also submit a completed international supplement to the Common Application form.
