Upstate Advanced York is inland to the boundless and lovely Adirondack Park. A branch of the Appalachian Trail, the Adirondack Mountains cover 6 million acres of lakes, ponds, trees, wildlife and mountains. Cruise boats are just one way to explore Historic Lake Champlain.Upstate New York boasts the sites of several Revolutionary War battles and forts. Fort Ticonderoga, Port Henry, Valcour Island and Gunboat Rock are just a few places of interest. Lake Champlain was also the scene of the Battle of Plattsburgh during the War of 1812.



Adventure that is a little more down to earth can be found in Keeseville, in canoe, raft or tube rides through AuSable Chasm. Children can experience the joy of Christmas any time of year at Santa's Workshop, located near Whiteface Mountain.
