Edit S5 Is Raw Photos

The Canon PowerShot S5 IS digital camera features the power to share pictures in the Uncooked format. These pictures are stored as .CR2 or .CRW files. Instructions


1. Insert the Canon CD into your computer's optical drive. Follow all of the instructions to install Canon Digital Photo Professional. This should be an automatic process.


2. Transfer the picture you want to edit to your computer. Take the SD card out of the camera and put it in your computer's SD card reader. When the SD card folder opens automatically, drag and drop the picture to edit to your desktop.


3. Start Canon Digital Photo Professional. Click the "File" menu, then "Open." Navigate through the files on your computer to select the picture, then click "Open."


4. Click "Tool" and the click the "RAW" tab. You will see sliders for adjusting brightness, picture style, color tone, sharpness, white balance, contrast and saturation. Adjust the sliders as you want. Pay attention to how the edits are making the picture look.


5. Click the "RGB" tab. Click the "NR" tab. In this tab, you can adjust the noise reduction features, such as blurriness. Click "Tool" again when you are finished.


Here, you will see sliders for adjusting the red, green and blue hues in the image. Adjust them until the picture looks good to you.6.


7. Click "File," then "Save As." Navigate to a place to store the file on your computer. Rename the image if you want. Click "Save."
