Tape a large piece of acetate firmly to the table so that the tape will act as a hinge while keeping acetate firmly in place. Lay your screen over the acetate to make your reference print. Hover the screen over the acetate so it is not touching and place a hearty line of ink on the screen a couple of inches above the design.


When the image is aligned, flip the acetate away from the screen on its hinges.12. Lower your screen onto the fabric or paper. Lift the screen to hover it above the surface and immediately recoat the screen with an even layer of ink as before.

Lower the screen down onto the acetate and firmly drag the squeegee up the screen at a 45-degree angle facing up.


Firmly and smoothly drag the squeegee across the screen to transfer the image. Lift the screen and allow your new print to dry in a safe place.


13. Now drag the squeegee in the opposite direction, holding the squeegee at a 45-degree angle pointed in the direction you will be dragging it to. Press firmly with the squeegee this time to ensure the fabric or paper underneath receives an even film of ink.
