Prevent Weasels

Weasels living in nearly all parts of North America.


Provided you breathing near a river or accept chickens and livestock in your yard, you've probably had a weasel hot water at one objective in bout. These rodents, which include minor bodies, short legs and rounded ears, typically alive near doctor sources and manifest meals. Light meals constitute anything from miniature rodents to birds and eggs. Remove any hiding spots around the area where a weasel could live or hide. Keep the area clean. Pick up fallen fruit from the ground and put all trash and waist in sealed trash cans. Don't leave your pet's food outside, and don't leave out any barrels or buckets of water that could be a drinking source for weasels. By tidying the area, you will not only prevent weasels, but you'll also repel rats and mice, which are a food source for weasels and could attract the creatures.


3. Secure any pets or livestock that make a tempting meal for weasels. Chickens, other birds and their eggs are a favorite dish for the animal, so ensure the animals are kept in weasel-proof cages. Built the coop with woven chicken wire, and submerge the wire at least 2 feet underground. Further prevent weasels from digging into the cage by placing plywood along the edges of the coop. If the weasel can't get to the birds, it won't have a reason to stay in your yard.


4. Place objects in the yard that will frighten the weasels away. Put pinwheels and flags that will move in the wind and make the area appear unsafe for weasels. Also, place fake birds or scarecrows in the yard, which will also pose apparent threats to weasels and keep them away.
